Track the Component, Not Just the Shipment
How Pro Site uses unique IDs and QR references to track individual fixture components through dismantling, storage, transport and reinstallation.
Most moving companies track shipments: how many boxes left, how many arrived. But a store isn’t rebuilt from boxes. It’s rebuilt from components: a specific panel, a specific bracket, a specific shelf that only fits one frame.

When those components lose their identity in transit, reinstallation slows down, parts go missing and fixtures get forced together in the wrong order.
How component tracking works

For connected or modular fixtures, we can assign a unique ID or QR reference to individual components and record their sequence, grouping and destination.
- Identify: each component receives its own reference.
- Record: the reference is linked to its fixture, its group and its place in the sequence.
- Pack: the ID stays visible on the protected item, so it can be checked without unwrapping.
- Reinstall: the record guides reassembly at the destination, in the right order.
The label shown is an illustration; the exact fields are adapted to each project.
What the client gains
- Better control over what was dismantled and where it is now.
- Fewer missing components between the old site and the new one.
- A clearer handover between the teams handling dismantling, storage, transport and reinstallation.
- Faster, cleaner reassembly, because nobody has to guess which part goes where.
Where it pays off most
Component tracking makes the biggest difference for modular shelving, wall systems and multi-part display fixtures, and for companies moving fixtures between several stores.
